Pug Parade in Lakewood Ranch

Here are a couple of photos from today's Pug Parade in Lakewood Ranch. The parade is sponsored by Sarasota Magazine and Lakewood Ranch and benefits the Sarasota Humane Society. For 6 years I was in charge of the Pug Parade when I worked for the magazine, this year I got to be a judge. It was so much fun. The pugs were so cute. There were 117 pugs entered this year. The day was just beautiful. I got to sit next to nationally know cartoonist, Chris Browne. Chris has been a judge for many years. I always said if I were a judge a little pug would win and guess what...I was a judge and I got to pick Miss Congeniality and I picked the cutest cheerleader pug who was little. I can't wait to scrap these fun pictures.

We are International Now!!

Meet Helen Powell, our first International customer! Helen googled Scrapbook stores in Sarasota before coming over on Holiday from the UK. She arrived at my door yesterday in the afternoon. Once in my neighborhood she realized Scrapbook Mailbox wasn't a store but a store in a home. It was so special meeting Helen. Helen purchased some of our new mini kits soon to be available to those who get our emails and Willow Traders. She snapped up the March kit ( a little early) and became our first subscriber from the UK. We will ship Helen's kits every 3 months to save on shipping costs. I told Helen about the Chocolate crop at K2 last night and told her to stop by their incredible store. At 9 p.m. last night there was Helen knocking on the door at K2. She had so much fun shopping and watching everyone crop. Helen told us the supplies we have here are so bright. She had never seen Heidi Swapp products in person. Helen was so delightful and I am so happy she came to my front door. Save travels back to the UK. I know we will see you again.

Kit Mania- February Scrapbook Mailbox kit sold out

Wow, our February kit is now sold out. The picture of the kit will post on our website on Feb 15. I sent out our monthly newsletter to those registered at our site yesterday and that sold the remaining kits. If you are not registered to get our email, you need to be. It's free and easy. Just go to our site and register. We should have a couple more March kits available then we did February.

On the home front we enjoyed our annual trip to the circus on Saturday, the show was great. Andrew said this year was better than 2005. We also decorated valentines cookies on Saturday.
Cathleen and Max came over to help and so did Mindy and her girls. I love Valentines Day. It is such a sappy holiday. I love the colors, the valentines, the flowers. Happy Valentines Day everyone.

Here are some photos from CheeseBurger, CheeseBurger. We enjoyed yummy cheeseburgers and milkshakes. Coco sure had a great weekend at our house.

These Foolish Things

Hi. I have finally joined the band wagon of blogging. I have been thinking of starting a blog for a couple of months now, but always thought I won't have the time. So I guess I will give it a try. We had a busy weekend. Friday night was cropping and Saturday I went up to Brandon with Andrew, Melissa and Sienna to Picture People to get Valentines portraits done. They did come out really cute. We had dinner at Cheese Burger, Cheese Burger last night and then watched the Wedding Crashers. Today was a Rip Van Winkle day except at 6 p.m. I got dressed to go to Publix. The store was empty since everyone was home watching the Super Bowl. We had Andrew's class mascot home for the weekend, Coco. Andrew did a great job writing in the journal all the things we did with Coco. As usual the weekend went by too quick. Above are the samples I made at the crop on Friday with February's kit.
