Count down to Africa is on

Only 50 days and counting til we leave for Africa! We got our full itineary last Friday and we are getting so excited. This will be a trip of a lifetime and we are so greatful to Jeff's Uncle for taking us.

We leave for NYC on June 15 and will see our friends Melissa and Ilene and their girls, Alexi and Sierra and then the next day we are off to Dubai. We will be in Dubai for Fathers Day and then off to Nairobi for a day and then off to our first camp, Kichwa Tembo Bateleur Camp then Ngorongoro Crater Lodge followed by Klein's Camp and then back to Nairobi for Uncle Dicks 75th birtday celebration.

I bought a 2 gig and a 1 gig card for my cameras. We get our shots next week. Anyone have a duffle bag on wheels we can borrow?

Gotta Have IT

I admit, I love to read scrapbooking blogs. I am addicted. Every day when I get home from work I check my email. Everyday I get an email from ScrapScene. There are always link to scrappers blogs. Today I clicked on the link to Christy Tomlison's blog and I read about this fabulous 2-tiered basked on sale I may add from Crate and Barrel. Well I got to thinking. I like that, I need that, I want it. She read about it from some other scrappers blog and that scrapper keeps her stamps in it.
I can't wait to get mine. I think I am going to keep embellishments (not kept on my clip it up) and some tools.
I just got the new McGill Mini File Tab today in the mail. I can't wait to use it.
Blogs are enabling and addictive. But I love them!

Wednesday Scrap and Dash

I just love this weeks Scrap and Dash. It features the papers of Rhonna Farrer and Autumn Leaves. The cute little owl is from Hambly and you will need to buy the whole sheet, they are so darn cute. The bonus was journaled by Karen. I just loved the beautiful picture of her and Sage from Cael's birthday party. Head on over to K2 and go quickly. Scrap and Dash has been selling out!!!!
Get ready for a little change the next two weeks with Scrap and Dash. I used pattern papers from a couple of companies instead of all one line of papers.
Happy Scrapping. Don't forget to take a look at this weeks Designer challenge on my blog, I was the K2 Design Team Challenge designer this week.

Weekly Challenge from a K2 Design Team member

Ok ladies here is this weeks challenge. Go into your stash of great pattern papers and find one you can cut out the middle or any part of the paper. The paper I chose was a new Jenni Bowlin paper I picked up at K2 a couple of weeks ago. I used my glass matt and my exacto knife to cut out the middle. I had so much fun working on this page.
This is a picture of my mom and dad about 23 years ago right after they got married. It was fun to scrap and old picture with new embellishments surrounding it. Have some fun and email me jocies@tampabay.rr.com with your sample or attach a link to my blog. Can't wait to see what you all create.

Happy Birthday Mommy

Happy Birthday to my Mommy. Today she would have been 69 years old. I guess the good thing about dying young is that is how everyone will always remember you. Not a day goes by that I don't remember her. Sometimes it is just for a second. Sometimes I let my mind think, what would she be like? How would my life have been different if she hadn't died so young and so long ago. It has been almost 29 years since she died. I was only 14. She was style and grace. She was happy and thoughtful. She made a great cheesecake. She loved bagels with melted Gouda Cheese. She loved diet 7 up and tangerines. She had beautiful skin and hands. Her skin was so soft. She wore white nail polish. She slept with her head under the covers. She loved to read. She loved her children and her husband. Today she is a memory, a picture in a frame. A person I had for too short a time. I will love her til I die. I will love her all the days of my life. I will never stop missing her, I will always wonder why did she die so young?

Scrapjacked

You have to check out this blog www.scrapjacked.blogspot.com it is so cool. I came across it yesterday. Scrapjacked is the new term for scraplift. These super cool scrapbooking girls got together and created this blog where every two weeks they post a page from a scrapbooking superstar, Elsie, Ali, Heidi and then they each post their lift of the page and then invite anyone to create a page and post it and the person they deem with the best scrapjack wins a cool scrapbook kit. The ideas are incredible. Check it out!!!

I was so excited to hear week after week the Scrap and Dash pages are selling out. Thanks everyone.

Happy Monday

Well it has been a while since I blogged. My computer hard drive crashed last Monday and I can not begin to tell you all what i lost. I am tryingto keep it all in to perspective. Jeff installed my new hard drive yesterday but now it looks like my video card is broken. I lost everything on my ipod yesterday it got wiped clean. Oh well. I am looking at the big picture of life. Here are some cute photos from Cails birthday last Sunday. Last week was Passover and we enjoyed Seders on both Monday and Tuesday night. Hope everyone had a great Passover and Easter. Can not wait to crop on Friday night. Head over to K2 on Wednesday for Scrap and Dash. This week features Basic Grey and next week the new Junkitz.
