Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas! What a nice day we had. We celebrated Christmas Eve at home after a visit to the hospital to give the NICU babies gifts. Andrew was a preemie and we spent a lot of time at the hospital during the holidays when he was born. The NICU nurses hold a special place in our hearts. When Andrew was in the NICU at Christmas we arrived on Christmas morning to find all these beautiful gifts by his incubator. I'll never forget the sweet notes other families left us. Now it is our turn and this is the second year we have visited the hospital on Christmas Eve. This year we even saw Dawn who was Andrews nurse on the day he was born. There were only 12 babies in the NICU yesterday. We enjoyed a quick bite to eat at Moe's and then back home to watch Home Alone 2 in bed as a family. This morning we slept in and then opened gifts from our friends Charles and Sylvia who always send lots of gifts that we open on Christmas morning. Then in the afternoon we headed to Venice to see Jeff's family for Christmas dinner and more presents. Andrew makes out like a bandit this month. Hanukkah, his birthday and Christmas. Hope everyone had a great day and got lots of fun scrapbooking goodies!

Happy Holidays

Happy Holidays. This picture was taken at the K2 Scrapbook Studio Employee/Design Team picture on Thursday night. The party was at Amy's and we had such a nice time. Thank you K2 for the awesome All My Memories mini tote in hot pink! Quite the fabulous gift. Jason took this picture with Megan's new camera.
Tonight we are off to a Holiday Game Night. We just lit the Hanukkah candles for the second night of Hanukkah. I gave Jeff a new coffee pot and a shredder tonight. Andrew got 2 Star Wars dudes that he is already playing with. Last night we had a great Hanukkah party. This is a busy week ahead. Andrew, my sweet boy turns 8 on Thursday. We had our last soccer game today, they lost. Jeff was a great coach and the team really appreciated all his hard work. Way to go Golden Eagles.

Well girls. Who is ready to complete 52 pages in just one year's time...You can do it with the new Scrap n Dash at K2. If you don't live in my area, Sarasota/Bradenton Florida. I bet if you called K2 and asked to get a subscription to their new weekly Scrap n Dash and if you agree to pay the postage, I'll bet they will let you do it. Tell them you will do it for a min of 3 months and that Jocie sent you. My guess is they will ship you 4 at a time, a whole months worth.

Anyway. Here are the samples from week one. The pattern papers are from Cherry Arte. There is the Scrap and Dash $5 page and then the bonus, al a carte page. Nancy will be there tomorrow to guide you through your first page. You won't believe how easy it is and how much more ahead you will be. The pages use new and fabulous products. It makes it easy to complete 1 or 2 pages each week.

Don't forget when you get your page home you can always add a title if you want or something extra from your stash.

Get to K2 tomorrow for the first set of pages!!!

Scrap and Dash is coming

Only 2 more days til Scrap and Dash at K2 Scrapbook Studio! I can't wait. I have created 2 pages with papers from Cherry Arte, one of my favorite pattern paper companies. The layouts are hot and happening. Each week I create 2 layouts, one that everything you need to create the layout is only $5 and the other you can purchase the materials to create the page a la carte. The second layout will be posted on my blog and the stores blog on Wednesday night and then you can create it at home.

This weeks layout includes one of the super cool layovers from My Minds Eye. Bring a 4x6 photo to complete the page in the store. For scrap and dash always bring your trimmer and adhesive. The layout uses the super cool and if you don't have one, YOU MUST GET ONE, EK CURVY CUTTER. I don't know how I lived with out it. It is the best and should be at the top of your wish list. I know it is pricey but girls let me tell you , YOU NEED IT.

Quantities of the page kits are limited each week, so when they are gone they are gone. Grab your first kit on Wednesday at K2. Just think if you do just one of the Scrap and Dash pages a week, that will be 52 pages for the year. How many pages do you do a year?

Girlfriends Holiday Luncheon

I am so blessed to have such amazing girlfriends. Yesterday was the annual Girlfriends Holiday Luncheon. We always have it the first Saturday in December. It is a time to gather together and celebrate being women and being girlfriends. It is the one holiday event I look most forward to and so do many of those who attend. Sorry Karen, Amy, Nikki, Cathy, Lori and Cristen couldn't make it this year. Welcome Cathleen and Megan who enjoyed their first luncheon. We held it at The Mangrove Grill in Palmetto and oh my god the food was out of this world. We feasted on Shrimp Spring rolls with the most incredible dipping sauces, lobster and crab cakes, mussells, salads that were unbelievable and desserts too decadant to name. Ok, Smore Brownies with carmel and chocolate sauce, Key lime pie, and something that was so chocolatey I didn't even taste it.

Andrea gave everyone a new box of baking soda for a fresh new start for 2007. Lots of meaning behind that little box. In this past year Jeci, Mindy and I all lost a parent. We were happy to see 2006 come to an end. We all have lots to feel blessed about and we wish health and happiness for our families, our children, our spouses and our friends. Love you all
