Scrap and Dash Wednesday

Well I can't believe it is Wednesday already. I love this paper from Scenic Route. I have had the picture of Karen and Cathy's toes to scrap since last summer and this paper just worked perfectly.
I got back from NJ late Monday night and have been off and running ever since. We are in the dog days of taxes for Jeff. Passover is next MOnday and tuesday nights. I can hardly believe it.
The weather is sunny and beautiful. Wishing you all a happy Wednesday.

Cold and Rainy New Jersey

Well, I am here in NJ visiting my mom and my sister, my favorite brother in law and my two beautiful nieces. Andrew and I flew in yesterday. We got the best price on tickets on Southwest. The weather was really nice yesterday. Andrew saw snow for the first time. I asked him to make a snow ball and he didn't even know how. Last night we ate at Ponzio's my favorite diner in the hill and then we unpacked boxes at the new house til 1 in the morning. Today Shari and I hit Talbots and AC Moore. I scored some new Junkitz, MM and some new Around the Block embellishments. I beat my niece Morgan for the first time in Trash. Andrew is having so much fun with his cousins. It is cold and rainy here today. I hope everyone has so much fun this weekend at the crop.

My brother the King of Poker

This is my brother Jon, or the King of Poker as I now like to call him. Jon and Jodi came to town on Saturday and Jon ran the poker game at our house on Saturday night. Jon had it all, custom chips, the official blind clock and the rule book. Jon and Jodi have become quite the poker players. We all had so much fun. I learned all kind of crazy poker games. Brian was the big winner, with Jon in 2nd and Jeff in 3rd place. Love you JOn.

Clip it Up rules!!!

Karen was right, once I had the bottom of the new and fabulous Clip it Up I would want the top! This thing is the bomb. How cool to have all your great embellishments at your finger tips. Now mind you these are not all my embellishments, Megan and I agreed we would need about 5 of these to put all our embellishments on it. Now I need a bigger desk to hold it. It is totally amazing. K2 will be ordering more of these babies and I think they have 1 left in the store. Run don't walk and get yours.

Crill

Last Monday I got to travel to Orlando to visit Laura McCrillis Kessler or "Crill" as we all called her in college. Laura is a sorority sister of mine who I last saw at my wedding almost 15 years ago. I was in her wedding over 20 years ago. Wow, I am really that old?
Crill and her beautiful family were visiting Disney World for 4 days before they boarded the Disney Wonder for the 3 day cruise. I was so excited for them. This was the kids first time in Disney and they were doing it right. They stayed at the Polynisian and were getting up early everyday and staying up late every night, getting the whole Disney experience. I can't wait to hear how they enjoyed the cruise. Crill and I agreed we were not going to let this much time pass before we see each other again.

Pug Parade and Scrap and Dash

Well who would have thought these two topics would go together...I just love the layouts I created for this weeks Scrap and Dash. The papers are by Tinkeringink and the pictures are so very dear to me. I love the one of Lora, my big sis and I. Great picture of Lora, terrible picture of me. It was such a special day and I couldn't wait to scrap the memory. The other picture is of my neice Morgan when she was only 2 at Halloween. I love, love the picture! Love you Morgan.
The Pug Parade, was last Saturday and I was once again the head judge! Can you believe it, me who doesn't even really like dogs. Well, let me just say I love being a judge and not having to be in charge of the event. I love showing up, doing my job and then being able to leave. Andrew came with me this year and he loved it. he was such a big help. There were 114 pugs. There were some really clever costumes. I loved the Little Bo Beep, the Johnny Depp, pirate pug, the Hooters pug and the pizza pug. People really get into the parade. The winner of Best of Show was an Anna Nichole Smith pug, not my top choice but I was over ruled by the other judges. The t-shirt this year was so darn cute. It was an awesome day weather wise and I am just so amazed as to how big the event has gotten. When I started the event it was 50 dogs in 5 Points Park with a mega phone, now it is at a huge park with a huge tent, a runway, judges table, a full sound system and about 15 vendors. I was invited back to be the head judge again next year!
